New Project: Naked Eye!!!
August 11th, 2011

I realise I am more than late in posting this, but a little over two months ago I launched a new project on which I have been working since the beginning of the year. Simply put, it's a travel blog where I post photo series of different places from around the world accompanied by texts in which I share my personal experiences in and with each place. This is a very dear child to me, that has been in stand by due to my India trip but is now back to its weekly posts. Check it out!!
Adriatic Sea
August 11th, 2011
Last November I was commissioned to photograph a cruise from Rome to Venice for Poder Magazine. Because there were too many destinations on that route, the story, published in February, focused only on Kotor, Budva and Split, cities on the Adriatic coast. I am working on a full series including Rome, Naples, Amalfi Coast and Venice, the other places we visited on that trip, but it's taking a while. Until then, here is a sneak peak of what's been published.

Maria Flor for Serafina
August 11th, 2011
I recently photographed Brazilian actress Maria Flor for the cover of Serafina, Folha de São Paulo's magazine. The photos were taken in London, where she had just finished shooting 360, director Fernando Meirelle's latest film.

Umbigo
August 11th, 2011

A little while ago Modo de Vida Magazine in Brazil asked me to photograph and write about my house in London. The story was out this month and can be seen here!
Dogs and owners
August 11th, 2011
On a recent trip to Brazil I photographed a story about dogs and their owners for Audi Magazine that was a lot of fun to do. Here are some shots of Marina Person, Marcelo Rosenbaum, Fernanda Suplicy and Rafa Bastos with their dogs. I totally obsessed about Marina's brown dog with different coloured eyes!

Morretes
April 27th, 2011
Morretes is a place right in the middle of the rain forest, about an hour drive from Curitiba, my hometown. A couple friend of a friend has this lovely house up there that I was fortunate enough to spend a few weekends at. But now, unfortunately, the house is going on sale. Here's a bit of it for remembrance's sake.

Brumado Farm
April 27th, 2011
Brumado Farm is well known for it's owner being the pioneer of quality cattle in Brazil, bringing animals from India back in the day. Over the years they grew massively, raising and selling breeds, but there was one pure kind they never opened to the public until last year, in what was to be one of the most profitable cattle auctions in the history of the country. The farm house was already uninhabited when I went to shoot this story for Poder Magazine, but it was still charming and we were so well received it was a lovely weekend.

Maní
April 27th, 2011
More photos from the shoot I did at Maní restaurant in São Paulo for Nowness.com.

Three Times Carla Lamarca
April 26th, 2011
I met Brazilian actress and TV presenter Carla Lamarca a couple of years ago and since then had the pleasure of photographing her three times, for Iguatemi Magazine, for her press photo and finally for Istoé Magazine last December.

Singers In Their Showers
April 26th, 2011
JP Magazine asked me to photograph some of Brazil's up and coming singers in their showers. They were all very lovely and agreed to actually get in the shower, clothes or no clothes, instruments even! In order they are: Helio Flanders, Jeneci, Thiago Petit, Mariana Aydar and Miranda Kassim.

Teu Pai Já Sabe
April 26th, 2011
Teu Pai Já Sabe is a Brazilian Queer Punk band (the name translates to "Your Father Already Knows"). Vice Brazil asked me to photograph their gig on a sunny Sunday afternoon in a basement in São Paulo. This is how it went.

Casa do Pão de Queijo
April 26th, 2011
Pão de queijo translates literally to cheese bread, a traditional snack most Brazilians are crazy about and those who, like me, live abroad, miss dearly. Casa do Pão de Queijo is one of the biggest pão de queijo producers in the country. Recently I got to visit their factory on assignment for Poder Magazine and walk home with a bag of deliciousness. :)

A weekend with Vice Brazil - Part II
April 26th, 2011
The other part of my weekend with Vice Brazil was a visit to the self-titled Brazil's first School for Young LGBT in Campinas, about an hour away from São Paulo. It's not a school per se, but more a community centre where young people gather to share experiences and have dance, video and magazine production classes.
